Petzl and DMM products have been incorpated into various UKEOD H&L equiments and individual offerrings due to their rigorous testing, durability and intuitive functions.  Any equipment used for climbing activities though needs to be maintained and inspected at regular intervals.  Hook and Line kits are routinely not put through these levels of regular and pre-use inspection and as such the climbing equipment offerred by UKEOD should not be used for climbing activities unless it has been maintained and inspected in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
